Ways to Maximize Your DAF Giving

These simple strategies can help you make an even greater difference with your Donor-Advised Fund gifts:

  • Set up recurring grants to sustain impact all year long.
  • Combine your gift with a challenge match to inspire others.
  • Leave a legacy gift by naming Mona Foundation as your DAF's beneficiary.
  • Use your DAF to respond quickly when urgent needs arise.

How Your DAF Gift Supports Mona Foundation

Every DAF gift fuels grassroots education initiatives that empower children and communities to thrive.

  • $132 sends one child to school for an entire year (Mona's average scholarship cost).
  • $780 provides a vocational scholarship for 3 girls (Starfish International, The Gambia).
  • $1,800 supports the award-winning Arts Program for 200 students (Badi School, Panama).
  • $3,000 builds and maintains a 1-room school (SHEF, India).

These are only a few examples of the impact your generosity creates. Be part of our global community working to ensure education — the most powerful force for change — reaches those who need it most.

What is a Donor-Advised Fund?

A Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) is like a charitable investment account — for the sole purpose of supporting causes you care about.

Here's how it works:

  1. You contribute cash, stock or other assets to your DAF.
  2. You receive an immediate tax deduction.
  3. You recommend grants to charities like Mona Foundation over time.

With a DAF, you can plan your giving in advance, simplfy your record-keeping, and make a greater impact — all at your own pace.

Why Give Through a DAF?

  • Tax Benefits: Receive an immediate tax deduction and avoid all capital tax gain when contributing appreciated assets.
  • Simplicity: Manage all your charitible giving from one place.
  • Flexibility: Recommend grants at any time — now or in the future.
  • Impact: Use your DAF to make thoughtful, strategic gifts that change lives.
