"Anyone can sign a check. But successfully fighting poverty requires careful stewarding of the Cotopaxi Foundation’s philanthropic funds towards partners with proven and traceable programs. After an intensive review process, Mona Foundation quickly demonstrated qualities that convinced our leadership of the organization’s ability to close the gender gap and eliminate poverty. We’re honored to partner with Mahnaz and her team."

Annie Agle, Director of Impact and Brand at Cotopaxi.

"When I looked at Mona it was almost it was custom designed for what we were doing. The fact that Mona finds and works with existing organizations in the countries really makes a difference. There is no need to recreate the wheels…and in terms of being a very efficient use of funds, it is a very smart way to go about things. The other thing that resonates well is their focus on girls. We have found through our own initiatives that the girls as they grow and become the nucleus of their families, they are much more entrepreneurial and they continue to invest in their entrepreneurial pursuits and that I think has an incredible positive impact on the community.

"I slept and I dreamed that life is all joy. I woke and I saw that life is all service. I served and I saw that service is joy.”- Kahlil Gibran. I relate so much to this quote. I love Mona because it is a total act of selflessness benefiting little helpless gems.
