Mahnaz Javid

Founder and President, Mona Foundation

As the founder of Mona Foundation, Mahnaz Javid is deeply committed to social justice and expanding access to education, particularly for women and girls. She holds a doctorate in Educational Leadership and has served as an adjunct faculty member in the University of Washington’s Computer and Software Systems program. Her professional background includes leadership roles in the high-tech industry at organizations such as Microsoft and Avanade. After more than two decades spanning education and high tech, Mahnaz transitioned to full-time service with Mona Foundation in 2018, leading the organization through its 25th anniversary in 2025. Having since stepped away from daily operations, she continues to serve as the President of Mona Foundation's Board of Directors, bringing decades of global development experience and a deep commitment to empowering individuals and communities through education.
