Neda Moeini

Technology Entrepreneur and Philanthropist


Neda Moeini is a technology entrepreneur and philanthropist who co-founded GL | Group of Gold Line, a global communications company that revolutionized Canada’s long-distance calling market and launched GLWiZ, now the world’s largest multicultural IPTV streaming platform. A graduate of York University’s Computer Science Department, Neda has combined her technical expertise with a deep commitment to social impact, supporting leading institutions such as Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, SickKids Hospital, and the Toronto International Film Festival. Her passion for education led her to establish Borani Global Education, a nonprofit dedicated to providing online university access to students facing social, political, or financial barriers. She also initiated a bursary at the University of Toronto’s Law School and created the GL | Group of Gold Line International Human Rights Internships, enabling law students to work on global human rights issues. In recognition of her leadership and service, Neda was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012.
