Based on 2013 World Bank report, 10.7% or 767M people live in extreme poverty on $1.90/Day; 50% or 3B people in poverty on $2.50/Day; and 80% or 4.8B people in poverty on $10/Day. Based on evidence we also know that the top two most impactful factors in eliminating global poverty is education and gender equality.
Mona Foundation ultimate goal is to help reduce global poverty such that no child ever goes to bed hungry, or is uncared for, or is deprived of the gift of education for lack of resources. There are many ways that you can support us and be a part of the change you want to see. The activity or the donation amount does not matter. What matters is that you TAKE ACTION and become of part of Mona family and change the world for better, one child at the time. Below are some options. Click on each option to learn more about how YOU can take action.
Behind every school that we support there are wonderful people who do the everyday work of development, sometimes at great personal sacrifices, to ensure that children who lack resources get access to education. Their stories are inspiring, and what they do move our hearts and the reason why we do what we do at Mona Foundation. Holding an event for Mona will provide you and your friends an opportunity to hear these inspiring stories and be doubly inspired to become personally involved in this very exciting process of building a better and a more just world for all of our children.
The event can be as small as inviting a few friends to tea, or organizing a bake sale, or a garage sale. It can also be a breakfast meeting with your colleagues, a luncheon with your community, or even a large dinner. Several youth have held a car wash, or a service project to benefit one of Mona’s schools. Other youth have started a “Global Citizen” club in their high schools to focus on learning about Mona and about development, and encourage their friends to do service. We will help and provide everything you need to make your event and fundraiser a success. To get you ready, we have prepared a small guide that can help you with organizing an event, click on the link to get the Guide to Hosting an Event. But don’t hesitate, and just email us at firstname.lastname@example.org, or call 425.743.4550 and we will help you along every day of the week.Event Hosting Guide
Giving circles bring together small groups of highly committed supporters to build a strong community committed to learning about development and philanthropy, our projects and the regions that we support, and help shape plans to enable the Foundation to reach its goals for each region. The purpose of a giving circle is three fold:

They are called "planned gifts" because planning the timing of the gift and how it is given often results in benefits to the donor as well as to the recipients. Your gift to Mona Foundation may be designated to benefit a specific project or need. Or, you may choose to support our general, operations or endowment funds. Planned giving to Mona Foundation is a flexible and creative way to make a powerful difference in global education.
Option 1: Current Outright Gifts
These gifts include stock, real estate, or other tangible property. Donors are entitled to a charitable tax deducation equal to the asset's fair market value. Because of our charitable status, when Mona sells the property, the total value supports our work.
Option 2: Promised Gifts
These gifts, or expectancies, are a promise to give in the future. Because of their revocable nature, some of these gifts are not eligible for a charitable tax deducation during the donor's lifetime. Examples include:
Option 3: Deferred Gifts
These gifts involve an irrevocable transfer of cash orassets. Because the gift is complete (that is, irrevocable), the donor is entitled to acurrent tax deduction.
Option 4: Charitable Remainder Annuity Trust – This instrument pays a fixed dollar amount to the donor based on the fair market value transferred to the trust, regardless of whether the principal increases or decreases.

They take an active part in the life of the communities in which they operate, and give back in variety of ways. Examples of corporate giving include donation-matching programs (Mona Foundaiton receives matching funds from several large ad small companies and organizations such as Microsoft, Intel, the Gates Foundation, United Way) regular gifts from company profits, or sponsoring events. Mona Foundation has enjoyed the support of many outstanding companies in the past and currently including Zinpro, a pioneer in research and development of organic trace minerals to improve animal wellness and performance. We are deeply grateful to our corporate sponsors and to Zinpro.

Finding meaning in the loss of a loved one often feels impossible One way to cope with the loss of a loved one and to honor their life is to create a Memorial Fund in their honor. A Memorial Fund is a wonderful way to transmute your grief into something positive and at the same time keep your loved one's memory alive.
For some families, honoring a relative who has passed away by creating a Memorial Fund in their name helps to begin the process of coming to terms with a great loss. It keeps the memory of their loved alive while also improving the lives of others. It's a wonderful way to show your love for the one you have lost and to preserve their legacy.
A Memorial Fund can be designated for specific purposes, for example scholarships for deserving students in any of Mona's projects, or designated to education of women and girls; or building a school where it is needed. It is a great way of paying tribute to a life well-lived, and to ensure the continuation of their services even after they have passed on.
We share in your giref and happy to help in however way we can to establish a special Memorial Fund as you wish it. Contact us at 425.743.4550, or email us at email@example.com.
