Co-Director, Seattle Chapter member
Teresa has supported the Mona Foundation since 2000, when she worked at Microsoft with Mona’s founder, Mahnaz Javid. One day, Mahnaz stopped by her office to tell her she had started a nonprofit organization to educate girls and promote gender equality around the world. Teresa knew immediately this was an organization she wanted to support.
For the past 20 years, Teresa has worked as a content developer to help people learn and use software. Her previous career was in international trade policy, where she worked as a policy analyst in Washington, D.C. She has a bachelor’s degree in English and French from the University of Arkansas (her home state), and a master’s degree in International Studies from the University of Oregon. Her education, combined with a passion for international travel, has raised her awareness of the immense human needs in the world. She believes addressing those needs begins with providing education opportunities for all.
When I heard about Mona, knew immediately this was an organization I wanted to support.
