Barli Institute, India

Named after a Hindu tradition that considers women the pillar (barli) holding families together, Barli Institute provides education and skills training to the rural women of Indore.

CORDE, Cambodia

Cambodia rises like a phoenix from the ashes of genocide. 200 children are served by each Center of Learning, building up families, instilling hope.
$50/month maintains a center of learning

Molejon Tutorial School, Ngobe-Bugle, Panama

It takes over two hours of jeep ride and ten hours on foot over five mountains and three rivers to get to the only standing two room structure in this remote area that serves as its school. 100 children are educated there for $3,000 a year.
$30/month educates one child, and includes food

Ngabe-Bukle Universidad, Panama

The first university ever to be develped on indiginous land in Panama. The region suffers from 97% poverty and malnutrition. Only a handful of the 200,000 people are college educated. This effort is supported by the National Indigenous Council and the 19 Ngobe Bugle Chiefs.
$800/year educates one student, and includes food and transportation

Nur University, Bolivia

Known as the model of integration of social and economic development in the overall curriculum of the University, the students of Nur have so far implemented 5,000 social and economic development projects within their communities.
$60/month educates one student

Ruaha Secondary School, Tanzania

Tanzania is one of the poorest nations in Africa. Education of girls is enabled by providing basic dormitories on site.
$700/year educates one student, and includes room, board, medical care and transportation

Setsembiso Sebunye, Swaziland

An island of technology and high standards of education, this school has earned praise from the King for the quality of education of its students.
$60/month educates one student

Tierra Santa Orphanage, Honduras

A “Home” for those who do not have one, a place for 130 children abandoned by their parents in severe poverty and devastation. Here children receive love, care, education, and assistance to learn self-sufficiency and become agents of social and economic development on their own.
$30/month educates one child, and includes one meal a day

Zunuzi School, Haiti

A haven from a world of political unrest and poverty, Zunuzi School has continued to uphold the highest standards of education in service to the most poor in Haiti.
$30/month educates one child, and includes one meal a day
